For monitoring a geothermal project nearby Munich during its construction, a webcam and a UMTS data router has been installed at the project site. As there is no access to the Public Grid, the power supply of the webcam and router – foreseen for March to October – was managed by a specially designed Solar power system. The system is consisting of a charge regulator, Steca PRS1515, 3 pole-mounted 65 Wp Soplar modules, Kyocera KC65T-1, and a AGM battery bank of 2x 200Ah at 12V. For protection, charge regulator and battery bank have been installed in a ventilated switchboard.
